Sledding

We live within 100 yards of one of the best sledding hills in the area. It has a great name, Suicide Hill, (though probably repeated in thousands of town around the country). And you know it has to be good when there is a sign posted not to sled along with a fence at the bottom of the hill.

For those with no regard for their own safety, you could definitely get hurt. With a little common sense and some sledding experience a little foot drag or just bailing off the sled will keep you out of danger.

My kids are smart enough to stay away from the jump and the most dangerous thing they risk are red cheeks on 15 degree day. I love seeing them play together and help each other get back up the hill. However, we can usually count on the trip ending with my daughter being less than happy with her brothers.
